Matching Grant???

Matching Grant?

Remember when I mentioned that?

How we had the opportunity to earn an

extra $1,000???

Well, that's HISTORY!

As in,

IT'S OVER!

Because we raised the $1,000 in the

FIRST DAY!!!!

Wow.

I need to use my thesaurus and find more words

that mean

THANKFUL.

and

GRATEFUL.

Thanks be to our Lord who has provided yet again.

And thank you SO much to each and

every person who gave or helped

us in any way to make this

happen.

This is not the end of our funding,

but we have made huge strides!

I'll say that not everyone who pledged has

fulfilled their pledge online yet.

So, we'll see how things look at the end of the week.

But as of right now,

our total in ALL accounts is

$15,681.00

That leaves us with somewhere around

$3200 left to raise!!!

AND, there is somewhere around $500 that

hasn't been entered online by pledgers yet.

So look what just a short week has brought us!

The Lord is doing mighty large things.

Much larger than we could have hoped for.

$3,200 is still alot for our family.

But, goodness gracious, 

LOOK AT WHAT HE HAS GIVEN

so far!!!

We are not at all concerned about this remaining dollar amount.

1 year ago we started

pursuing adoption.

And now we have a son.

We looked at the huge cost of adoption back then.

To be honest, it's a little overwhelming

to parents looking at options for adoption.

But a year ago,

Pastor Paul told us,

"I'm not worried about it,

God has alot of money"

That is so true!

And He has now chosen to again show His

faithfulness to us in a financial way.

So again,

Thank you.

We are still asking for support if God has

laid that on your heart.

If you haven't fulfilled your pledge yet,

And we can't wait for the post that will be titled,

We ROCKED!

WE'RE DONE!

We finished our Rock a' Thon at

7:00 this morning!

Let me tell you,

I did rock longer than I expected,

but that was NOT easy!!!

We are very very thankful for everyone that

literally sacrificed to stay up all night!

We had our babies sleeping in one office

and my niece in another!

My sister-in-law napped on an air mattress in the

same room as us rockers! 

Our judge, Megan also stayed up

all night (maybe a little cat nap)

even though she didn't rock.

So we did it,

and here are the results!!

Angie: 8 hours

Makayla: 11.5 hours

Chris: 12 hours

Edgar: 12 hours

Alexis: 12 hours

Yup....everyone went all night

BUT ME!

So here are their pledge totals!

This is SUPER EXCITING!!!

Angie: $40

Makayla: $57.50

Chris: $84

Edgar: $180

Lexi: $300!!! 

Total Fixed Pledges: $1,140

TOTAL ALL TOGETHER: 

$1801.50!

 Um, yea.

We are blown away at this total.

We CANNOT say "thank you" enough!!

Most pledges that didn't come from church

came from Facebook.

So I will post individuals' totals on facebook,

please contact me if you need your total and don't see it!

Our Lord is so faithful.

And as a gift, He has given us faithful

friends and family.

We are ever so grateful

and we can't wait to tell Tobias

how much work and love went into

bringing him home.

We will NEVER forget how people

have reached out to assist us and our new son.

This is truly a picture of the CHURCH.

We are a family!

I really pray that we will be able to

be a part of someone else's adoption

sometime soon.

This is truly a blessing.
